American Association to Advance Powder Diffraction
A VOICE FOR THE POWDER DIFFRACTION COMMUNITY AND ENSURE A BRIGHT FUTURE FOR THIS FIELD

Powder diffraction techniques are essential for characterizing the structure and other features of myriad materials that are important to manufacturing and numerous disciplines, including biology, chemistry, geology, materials science and engineering, medicine and pharmacology, physics, and others.
The AAAPD represents scientists and engineers from academia, government, and industry who use powder diffraction. In addition to providing a network to connect powder diffraction practitioners, we provide curated information on topics such as conferences, databases, educational resources, instrumentation, facilities, and software used by the scientific community. As a voice for the community, the AAAPD advocates for user needs related to facilities, research funding, and software development, which will strengthen and support powder diffraction practitioners and help ensure a bright future for this field.
